List on MLS – How Does it Benefit You?
Simply put, It saves you thousands of dollars; gets your home internet presence; and allows you to keep your FSBO rights while still being listed on the realtors MLS. Now, let’s go into this in more detail: You save money by NOT paying the traditional MLS listing commission. You will be listed on the same MLS that a traditional realtor would list you on, except you would pay a low flat fee instead of a percentage of your property closing costs, otherwise known as “a listing commission”. Traditional realtors charge up to a total of 6% commission of the sale price of your home. Half of this commission is the “listing” commission, while the other half is the “selling” commission.
